The people of Tartu achieved a solid victory in Jõgeva Football

Tartu Vald/Ravens Futsal defeated FC Jõgeva Wolves 17:4 (7:1) in the only match of the Estonian indoor football championship on Sunday.

The Tartans, who are in fourth place in the table, beat Jõgeva 12:1 at home in the opening round, and had no difficulty defeating the capital’s so far winless citizens, even away from home. The score of the match remained solid only until the 14th minute, when at 3:1 the guests scored six goals in a row and the final score was 17:4.

Four players from the winning team scored a hat-trick: Raul Rebane, Eduard Desjatski, Juhan Kondike and Andre Väin. The red card for goalkeeper Romet Sepa remains on the negative side, due to playing with his hand outside the penalty area. Margus Rosin scored two goals for the underdogs.

The remaining matches of the 12th round were played on Saturday: Sillamäe FC NPM Silmet – Narva United FC 7:2, Tallinna FC Bunker Partner – Rummu Dynamo 16:1, Jõhvi FC Phoenix – Viimsi FC 5:5.

Before the weekly training camp of the Estonian national team that will begin on January 29 (it will end with test matches against Moldova on February 3 and 4), the penultimate, 13th round of the main tournament will take place in the league championship. All matches of the next round will be played on January 27, in the center of which Narva United FC and Viimsi FC will face each other, also matches between Rummu Dynamo – Sillamäe FC NPM Silmet, Jõhvi FC Phoenix – Tartu Vald/Ravens Futsal and Tallinna are scheduled FC Bunker Partner – FC Jõgeva Wolves.

The main tournament concludes with the 14th round matches, which will take place from February 7 to 10. The six most successful teams qualify for the main tournament playoffI. The 1st and 2nd placed teams of the main tournament go directly to the semi-finals, the other four teams start from the quarter-finals. The quarter-finals and semi-finals are played until a team gets two wins, in the final it is necessary to defeat the opponent in three games to become champion.
