The Foundation for Entrepreneurship and Innovation/Kredex informs the public and target groups about the deadline for opening applications on its website and in a national newspaper at least ten working days before the start of acceptance of applications .

As of January 29, no such announcements had appeared.

“The exact opening time for applying for the stove subsidy is expected to be revealed this week,” Martin Altraja, communications specialist at the joint agency EAS and Kredex, told ERR on Monday.

“The grant round was supposed to open as early as September, but unfortunately we were forced to postpone it due to a serious technical failure that occurred at that time,” Romario Siimer, chief specialist of the atmospheric department of the Ministry of Climate, explained in a statement. According to the Ministry of Climate, by that time the malfunction had been eliminated and the conditions of the support measure had also been updated, and from January it was allowed to start accepting applications. After changing the conditions, the state will preferentially support homeowners with lower incomes.

In the first phase, support from the Enterprise and Innovation Foundation can only be requested for the reconstruction of an old stove or for the construction of a new stove and connection to the district heating network.

In the second round, which according to the November announcement should have opened in the second half of 2024, in addition to the activities supported in the first round, the purchase of an air-water heat pump, geothermal heat pump, pellets or the Light wood boiler with installation.

In Estonia there are 215,000 households with an oven. Depending on the region, the subsidy rate is 50 or 70%.
