This is an extremely unusual congenital anomaly that is difficult to find in the medical literature, writes the New York Post. Eloah was discovered to have 4 kidneys when the baby was 5 months old. Because one of the kidneys was making it difficult for the child to digest food by compressing his intestines, one of the kidneys was removed.
The girl’s kidney cannot be donated because her blood vessels are not completely normal and this would make the transplant difficult. Eloah’s three remaining kidneys function normally.
“My daughter is rare and unique,” ISIS mother Thalia Silva Alves told local media. The child will likely be under clinical observation until adulthood. But despite this, the family tries to live a normal life.
