Eight service members were injured so badly that they were evacuated from Jordan after being injured in a drone attack on an American outpost near the Syrian border on Sunday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed.

“The injured personnel required evacuation to Jordan for advanced medical care,” CENTCOM said in a statement. “The number of injured US personnel has increased to at least 34, but we expect this number to change as requests for aftercare continue,” the statement added.
