Tõnis Mägi releases new album “Ajapendel” with a presentation concert in Tartu

After Mägi’s sold-out 75th anniversary concert at Alexela Concert Hall, Tõnis decided to perform his new album “Ajapendel” in Tartu, where the album was also created. The new creation, recorded at Tartu Clockwork Studio with friends Ain Agan, Andre Maaker, Mihkel Mälgand and Toomas Rull, will be presented at the concert.

Tõnis says the following about the new album: “The idea for the new record came about as a result of a half-realized dream. I felt that the Universe was like a hugely elongated balloon with many different stones inside it. These stones are us – sharp, smooth, rough, beautiful… This film or a balloon swings – swings. Slowly. 50 years on one side, half a century on the other. And just like when it swings, before it swings on the other side , the swing stops for a moment… And all the stones (people) are tangled together. It’s uncomfortable, unbearable but then the pendulum of time moves forward.”

In addition to the scandalous new creation, the best songs from the album “AOvalgus” will also be played.
