Oxygenated blood is returned to the lungs, and already used blood is returned to the body. Such a condition requires immediate surgical intervention. Therefore, the child urgently needs emergency surgery at the University of Helsinki Children’s Hospital.
The Health Insurance Fund pays for the child’s medical transportation and surgery, but all costs related to the parents’ travel and stay in Finland must be borne by the family itself, and since the cost of transportation and accommodation for three weeks amounts at around 3,560 euros, the parents ask for help from benefactors. Another child of the family is also traveling with her, a girl aged only 1 year and 3 months, who certainly cannot stay away from her parents or little sister for so long.
We ask once again for the help of benefactors to give parents the opportunity to spend as much time as possible with their seriously ill child before and after the operation.
