Opposition representatives accused Tammist that the official too often confuses public and private interests, and is characterized by selfishness for personal gain, desire to travel for municipal money, hypocrisy, lack of cooperation and lack of communication skills with different parts of the council. The motion of no confidence with seven authorized signatures was presented in the previous council meeting.
Tammist said he did not understand the allegations against him and asked opposition representatives for clarification on the matter.
When he wanted an answer from Estonian Conservative People’s Party representative Margus Kuke, he said that it is not the commissioners who should answer the president’s questions, but the Prime Minister should respond to the comments made.
“I don’t understand these accusations, that’s why I’m asking,” Tammist said.
“If you don’t understand what you’re being accused of, then you’re not fit for your job,” Kukk thought.
“We are not first graders and you are the principal. Please refute our claims, please,” added Aleksander Vilinurm, who was elected to the council on the list of the Südamega Saardes electoral alliance that came to power , but last year he resigned and joined the opposition.
