A video was posted on social media in which a Ukrainian man threw three grenades into the room during a local village council meeting. The man himself was seriously injured and many people were also injured.
According to the local prosecutor’s office, the accident occurred on Friday, December 15, around 12 pm in the village of Keretski, Hust district, Transcarpathian region. The man is a member of the city council.
The man threw three grenades into the room and was seriously injured. 26 people were injured, 7 of whom are hospitalized in serious condition.
Police are investigating the incident as an act of terrorism and illegal use of ammunition.
According to preliminary data, the 2024 budget was discussed in the city council session.
