In the third quarter the Lakers managed to increase the gap and before the final 12 minutes they led 90:82. The Pacers closed the gap to two points with a 7-0 run early in the final quarter, but the Lakers still dominated the game. At the end of the game, the first NBA cartoon championship final was won with numbers 123:109.
Anthony played a fantastic game for the Lakers, scoring 41 points, grabbing 20 rebounds and dishing out five assists. LeBron James, named MVP of the tournament, also achieved a double double, collecting 24 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin led the Pacers with 20 points each.
