Injury-ravaged Arbroath traveled to league leaders Raith Rovers with just four substitutes, and in the ninth minute the away team had to make a change due to another injury. Midway through the second half another Arbroath player was injured and as there was only one reserve goalkeeper left on the substitutes’ bench, the manager decided to place him on the pitch.
At this point Arbroath were 0-1 down and the home side soon scored their second goal. It almost felt like the game was over, but take your finger away. In the 76th minute, substitute goalkeeper Adams saved a long-range shot and moments later Arbroath striker Leighton McIntosh made it 2-2 from the penalty spot.

Arbroath are in second to bottom or ninth place in the Scottish Premier League with 17 points. However, table leaders Raith Rovers (41 points) are three points ahead of closest pursuers Dundee United.
