Will Norbert Hurda become Flora’s new coach? “What will be officially revealed in the next few days” – Soccernet.ee

Tallinna FC Flora sporting director Norbert Hurt has not ruled out that he will be the new coach of the club’s representative team. He admitted that the team is about to change blood and that the permanence of an experienced player is currently under discussion.

“We came out of a very difficult situation and finally won the title – it’s been a difficult year, hasn’t it?” said Hurt speaking to Soccernet.ee and Õhtulehe. “On the other hand, if you look at the performance side, we were not satisfied in the coaches’ room either. At the same time, we are happy that the season was not only difficult for us, but also for others,” he smiled.

Flora’s biggest concern in the season that ended was the lineup, particularly its poorness. Now central defender Henrik Pürg and goalkeeper Ingmar Krister Paplavskis have already announced the end of their careers, coach Jürgen Henn has resigned and striker Henrik Ojamaa has joined Paide Linnameeskonna. Hurt confirmed that further news is expected.

“There are those who end their careers and those who move on. There are also new people who come on board. We are in a time of change and I think now is the right time to do it: there has been a uniform composition for a long time time and now is time for changes.” she discovered.

Among experienced men, the continuation of Ken Kallaste is questionable. “For now we have Sergei [Zenjovi] and the defendant [Vassiljeviga] the contracts have been extended,” said Hurt. That is, he did not want to underline the concrete departures, but confirmed that the matter should become public in the next few days. However, if there was more space on the player front and not one is irreplaceable, so surely a new person is needed for the coaching chair?

“We’ve pretty much decided internally what’s going to happen next. When the time is right, we’ll make it public,” the politically correct Hurt said. Could the new coach be himself, for example? “What it will be officially will be revealed in the next few days,” he replied.

But what about the players? “Above all, the goalkeeper line is fine, now we have more choice there. But we are examining the players in each line. In general, the overall picture is fine and some outstanding issues need to be reviewed.”

Typically, clubs in the top tier of the Premium League hope to help some players take the next step abroad between seasons. Flora too. “There is a desire to take some steps in that direction, but there is nothing concrete yet,” Hurt said. “If names are also mentioned, then [Martin] Let’s look at Miller in that direction. It would be time for him to make that move. We’ll see one or two players.”

Markus Poom, who has created sharpness in Flora’s midfield for many years, joined Shamrock Rovers in the Irish Premier League at the start of the calendar year. His year there culminated in a championship and a solid first-team role for the 24-year-old midfielder. The seasonal loan contract, however, has now expired, just as the contract with Flora has also expired: what will happen to Poomi next?

“The situation is also open. Their interest is that he stays there permanently – for this reason certain financial conditions also need to be guaranteed. There is no concrete decision yet,” Hurt commented.
