The Israeli military reported that it eliminated 90 gunmen and detained 160 others during an assault on Gaza's largest hospital, alleging that Hamas fighters were using it as a hideout, a claim denied by the terrorist organization.

Al Shifa hospital in Gaza City, a vital medical facility for thousands of Palestinians seeking refuge, was targeted by IDF forces starting on Monday night.

Two Israeli soldiers lost their lives during the operation.

According to the military's statement, the troops discovered weapons in the hospital area while ensuring the safety of civilians, patients, medical staff, and equipment.

Operation Details

Israeli forces entered the hospital complex based on intelligence suggesting the presence of Hamas soldiers. They encountered sniper fire from inside the hospital.

Faiq Mabhouh, a Hamas security force leader, was reportedly inside the hospital complex and engaged in terrorist activities before being neutralized by the IDF.

Contrary to Israeli claims, Ismail Al-Thawabta, from Gaza's Hamas-run government media office, stated that those killed were wounded patients and displaced individuals within the hospital.

The Fidesz people are more concerned about emigration than immigration

Supporters of far-right parties in Europe are strongly divided on several key issues, according to the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) published on Thursday survey. Based on representative opinion polls conducted in the 12 EU member states, including Hungary, they are not united in their support for Ukraine, maintaining EU membership, and their perception of migration, and the latter is not currently a central issue for voters, claims the Berlin-based think tank.

In four of the 12 countries, the majority of all respondents believed that the leader of the strongest local far-right party – the Alternative for Germany, the Austrian Freedom Party, the Sweden Democrats and the Dutch Freedom Party – supports leaving the EU. Narrowing down the analyzed parties to their own supporters, Fidesz and the Italian Brothers (classified as far-right in the survey) were at the other end of the list. In the former, only 18 percent said that they think Viktor Orbán would like to terminate Hungary’s EU membership. Only Giorgia Meloni had a lower rate of 15 percent, but while the result is similar whe

The Atlantic Ocean could be absorbed into a ring of fire and disappear, scientists have revealed

The Atlantic Ocean may begin a process of closing in the future, eventually disappearing due to the development of a subduction zone beneath the Strait of Gibraltar. (Archive)

A recent study warns that the Atlantic Ocean could eventually disappear, being absorbed by a subduction zone known as ‘Ring of fire‘, similar to the one existing in Calm. This area, located under the Strait of Gibraltarin the middle Spain Yes Moroccoit could expand westward and cause the ocean to close.

The principal researcher, João Duartefrom Faculty of Science of the University of Lisbontogether with his team, he used computer modeling to trace the development of this area since Oligocene to project its future expansion, estimating that in about 20 million years humanity could witness aa significant transformation of the Atlantic landscape.

The study, published in the journal Geologyprovided evidence that subduction, a phenomenon in which one tectonic plate slides under another, is starting in Atlantic. “We have good reason to think the Atlantic is starting to close”explained Professor Duarte to the Daily email.

As the ocean floor sinks into the mantle, the continents move closer together, which could eventually cause the ocean to close: “Subduction zones are what cause the oceans to close, as they push the ocean floor toward the mantle, bringing the ocean floor together. the continents,” he explained Duarte.

The size of the subduction zone under the Strait of Gibraltar is expected to increase considerably. (JAR)

The subduction zone beneath the Strait of Gibraltar it is particularly interesting for its activity ‘sleep’, that is, the speed at which the African plate moves under the Eurasian plate is extremely slow. Despite its current relative

Keeper Manuel Neuer has to leave injured

Julian Nagelsmann has made his decision: Manuel Neuer will keep goal again at the home European Championships – but he still has to wait for his comeback to the DFB.

Manuel Neuer hung his head in disappointment; the photo from the national team’s training spoke volumes.

Having just been promoted to the new, old number one in the German goal, the long-time captain has to pass again: Neuer suffered a torn muscle fiber in his left adductor on Wednesday and left the team camp in Frankfurt.

“He’s out for the two international matches. Maybe also for the Bayern game against Dortmund in the league. But that’s not my job,” said national coach Julian Nagelsmann at a fan press conference that evening.

He called Neuer’s exit “annoying because he made a very good impression.” Fortunately, the “eternal” deputy Marc-Andre ter Stegen is “also a world-class keeper” who will brilliantly replace Neuer.

“Get well soon, Manu!” wrote the association in its message on social networks, along with the photo and hearts in black, red and gold. Nothing will come of the 2014 world champion’s comeback 15 months after his 117th and so far last international match.

Instead, his “eternal” deputy Marc-Andre ter Stegen is likely to take his place again in the international match against France on Saturday (9 p.m. in the live ticker) in Lyon.

Neuer’s world still seemed rosy in the morning. As the new father of little Luca, he was floating on a pink cloud anyway, then his private and sporting happiness were supposedly perfectly combined.

Nagelsmann probably decided on Neuer as the European Championship keeper

The long-time regular goalkeeper, it was revealed around midday, should be in goal again at the home European Championship after a fairytale return to FC Bayern. National coach Julian Nagelsmann had decided on this.

The decision was an expected one – and yet a new (new) heavy blow for ter Stegen. The placeholder, who is already 31 years old, has kept the position warm for a year and a half and should be content with the reserve role again. Even at 37, there seemed to be no getting around a Manuel Neuer in top form, as Thomas Tuchel recently noted with great awe.

A comeback like Neuer’s after he broke his leg while skiing mountaineering could only be achieved by “one in 20 million players,” enthused the Bayern coach. Neuer is unique, “absolutely world class” in all areas, “in a league of his own” in terms of anticipation and charisma.

And: The Bayern lobby beat the drum for him on Wednesday, shortly before Nage
