The city of Athens in Greece is experiencing a unique phenomenon. The sky is orange, and a large mass of Sahara Desert dust looms over it.
Collect BBC, Thursday (25/4/2024), a dramatic orange fog has descended over the city of Athens. That’s when clouds of dust blow from the Sahara Desert.
This is one of the worst episodes to hit Greece since 2018, according to officials. Greece had been hit by similar clouds in late March and early April, which also covered areas of Switzerland and southern France.
Skies are expected to clear on Wednesday, the Greek weather service said.
Air quality has worsened in many areas of the country.

The city court of Syktyvkar in Russia arrested in absentia the world chess champion and co-founder of the Free Russia Forum (FRF), Garry Kasparov, along with several other activists, on charges of creating a “terrorist community”, financing ” terrorist activities” and having publicly incited terrorism.
Russian and Ukrainian media reported it.

Little brothers die in fire in Reynosa; they left them alone
TAMAULIPAS.- The tragedy occurred in a home in Reynosa, when four childrenthey were alone, They lost their lives in a fire.
According to preliminary reports from the State Civil Protection, the fire was reported due to a short circuit when the mother of the minors had left a moment from the house and the father was out of town working.
The little ones, 1 year 6 months old, 6, 8 years old, and a 10-year-old girl with Down’s syndromelost their lives in the middle of the llamas.
When the neighbors noticed the fire they broke a door to enter the home and rescue the minors, however, they had already lost their lives.
