As in previous days, this week too the weather is determined by cyclonic activity, the weather is full of precipitation, the Environment Agency announced.
Snow will increase in the first half of the week. However, in the second half of the week a warmer air mass will arrive from the southwest and the weather will once again become largely thawed. It snows, sleets and rains. The thickness of the snow cover decreases.
In the short term the temperature will continue to oscillate between plus and minus.

Today the low pressure along the Estonian-Latvian border is slowly moving eastward. For this reason the weather is mostly cloudy. In many places it snows, on the islands and in the south of Estonia there is sleet and sometimes rain, there is ice.
In the afternoon the rain clears up and the cloud cover thins out. The winds from the east and north-east are blowing 4-9, on the islands of western Estonia the winds from the south-west and west also blew up to 11 m/s, in the afternoon from the islands the wind turns to the north and north-west and gradually weakens. The air temperature is between -3 and 2 degrees.
Tomorrow the weather will be cloudy with clear spells, variable cloud cover on the islands. In the morning it will snow in many places, sleet on the islands, in the afternoon the rain will decrease. Sometimes it’s windy. Mainly west and south-west wind 2-7, gusts up to 11, up to 15 m/s on the islands and in the Gulf of Livonia in the morning. The air temperature is between -4 and 1 degrees, on the islands up to 3 degrees. In the evening ice forms in many places. The roads are slippery.
The Environment Agency reports that the weather is about to thaw. For example, on Friday the temperature does not drop below freezing. The weather is cloudy and sometimes raining, sometimes mixed with sleet. The risk of slipping is constant. The southwest wind blows at 5-11 am, on the islands and on the coast a gust of 15 m/s blows. The air temperature ranges from 0 to 5 degrees.
Next Monday night you can say goodbye to 2023. According to the forecasts of the yr.no portal, on December 31 and January 1 the weather in Tallinn will be cloudy and the temperature will be between 0 and 2 degrees.
