European Parliament President Roberta Metsola expressed hope that the remaining burning issues related to immigration will be resolved during the remaining term of the presidency, as she said results are expected from them. The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen also underlined the importance of the migration issue. “Over the last six months the pressure on our external borders has increased: not only in the Mediterranean, but also along the Atlantic Ocean and recently also on the eastern border of Finland. This is a brutal hybrid attack, the one that Russia is behind.
