Actor Ursel Tilk: The fact that the country curses the city and stupid people in the city has crossed the line

When photographer Sven and I sit in the house that Ursel Tilga and his partner bought a few years ago in the village of Palamulla, Ursel says: “I also cut the elk sausage for you.”

It turns out that Ursel’s father, Valdur, once killed some elk from this camp. “From fisherman to hunter and then to gardener,” describes the changes in Ursel’s father. Let’s talk less about the upcoming film and more about the changes. And since there is a book on the table about birds, the determinant, you don’t have to ask what he is reading.

Are you already getting used to the attention that comes with the soon-to-premiere film The Invisible Struggle?

I’m getting used to the fact that the movie is on and it’s nothing but pure joy. After all, I want this attention to bring people to the cinema.

But the media attention on me… I can’t get used to it. Deep down I try to avoid it. You’re still wondering what I’m going to do with it. What should I do, what should I say, what should I not say, what should I talk about? However, it is probably inevitable.

With my question I was aiming in that direction, to see what life is like: you can do many big and impressive parts in the theater, but it doesn’t get noticed. Then you will have a role in the film and all of Estonia will know about it before they have even seen the film.
