Alexander-Arnold will not be able to help Liverpool in the coming weeks | Soccer

Trent Alexander-Arnold, an important link in the English Premier League’s leading team, Liverpool, has dislocated his knee and will be out for several weeks.

The 25-year-old England international injured knee ligaments in Sunday’s FA Cup third round match against Arsenal, which Liverpool won 2-0.

“We have to find a new dynamic without him because he has made our game flexible,” Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders said. “Even in difficult times, he was the one who pushed us when we needed a change.”

Liverpool face League Cup semi-finals against Fulham in the coming weeks, as well as Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Chelsea, and a cup fourth round tie against Norwich City or Bristol Rovers.

Liverpool will have further absences in the coming weeks, with left-backs Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas not returning to training until the end of the month.

Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo will also be unavailable for Egypt and Japan respectively, while midfielder Dominik Szoboszlaid is hampered by a hamstring injury.
