Entrepreneur Parvel Pruunsild donated exactly one million euros to political parties in 2023, including 700,000 euros to Isamaa and 300,000 euros to EKRE.
Bruunsilla’s total donation could have been even higher, but the Center Party, which found itself in internal contradictions, decided to return its donation of 300,000 euros.
The second largest donation was made by businessman Raul Kirjanen, whose donation of 200,000 euros went entirely to the non-parliamentary political party Perempolsides.
Entrepreneur and Estonian 200 member Priit Alamäe donated 155,800, all of which went to his home party.
Entrepreneurs Aivar Linnamäe and Joakim Helenius donated 150,000 euros. 100,000 of Linnamäe’s donation went to the Homeland and 50,000 to the Reform Party. Helenius’ 150,000 went to the Estonia 200.
Entrepreneur Margus Vanaselja donated 130,000 euros to political parties. Of these he donated 90,000 euros to the Reformist Party and 40,000 euros to the Social Democratic Party.
Banker Rain Lõhmus donated 125,000 euros and only to the right.
Donations made in the rest of the year were less than 100,000 euros.
Sten Tamkivi, Taavet Hinrikus and Oleg Gross all donated 85,000 euros.
In total, more than 4.9 million euros were donated to political parties, but this figure does not include donations made to EKRE in the fourth quarter.

During the year, Isamaa collected the largest number of donations
If we summarize the entire year 2023, Isamaa collected the most financial donations. The opposition parties were the only ones supported with more than one million euros, or more precisely with a total of 1,074,034 euros. As mentioned above, 700,000 euros came from Parvel Pruunsilla.
In the annual comparison, the Reform Party came in second place with 820,364 euros, Estonia in third place with a slightly lower amount of 200 euros, or 815,517 euros.
The right-wing parties collected 712,292 euros in donations and the SDE 702,489 euros.
The Center Party managed to collect 280,968 euros in donations. In the first three quarters of the year EKRE received donations of 431,675 euros, which means that the total amount will be higher.
