While the mainstream media may give the impression that the biggest challenge for electric cars is the reliability of the 12V battery, there’s actually something else causing pain, especially for those who don’t use a car on a daily basis. electric and not have RFID cards from service providers. Many electric charger companies have decided that charging requires the use of a mobile app or customer card.
However, this makes it difficult to use the chargers, for example when travelling. Or in a situation where my phone doesn’t work and I can’t take the customer card of a certain service provider. Most chargers in Estonia are built according to this usage logic.
Thanks to the European Union regulation, the situation will soon improve significantly. The regulation sets out a number of other conditions that chargers must meet. Some of them will come into force as early as April this year and some points have been given until 2027.
