“The dinner with Hillary Clinton set an incredible tone of openness for the COP28 meetings,” Simson writes on Instagram.

“Hillary Clinton is a leader who has spoken to and inspired millions of women around the world. It was a great pleasure to meet face to face and I also took the opportunity to explain what we have done in Europe and what we can do together to support the developing countries,” says Simson.

President Alar Karis met with the former first lady of the United States last year. It was in a Toronto bookstore that they met by chance.

“I met Hillary Clinton in a bookstore in Toronto. She expressed appreciation and gratitude to Estonia for its determination and support for Ukraine,” President Karis wrote on his Facebook page at the time. Clinton also wrote a dedication to her president in her book “Under the Pressure of Fear.”
