The Muslim Brotherhood is the largest and most successful Islamic organization in the world, active for almost one hundred years. We should start with what Islamism, or political Islam, is. There are over 1.5 billion Muslims in the world and, of course, not all, but a certain percentage of Muslims, share this view. But according to this, Islam is the only religion in the world that must be followed by all mankind. Allah created the Earth and everything on it, including man, whom Allah allows to live on Earth as long as man is obedient to Allah, Allah’s will is in turn written in the Quran . Islamists believe that the time has come to impose Islam on others. First of all for the inhabitants of Islamic countries themselves, who have distanced themselves from the will of Allah, and secondly also for the areas that in history once belonged to Muslims.
How to achieve this goal? Islamists draw a model from the life story of the Prophet Muhammad to spread Islam. One option is violent, while the other is the peaceful preaching of Islam and Islamization of the elites without direct violence. Islamism and the Muslim Brotherhood emerged primarily after the First World War, when the large Islamic countries had fallen under the domination of the Europeans, and in this sense Islamism and Islamic movements were a reaction.
