In Finland, retail chain Lidl has announced that it will raise its bonus system to a new level. Until now, people were dissatisfied with the store’s bonus system, while now they begin to satisfy loyal customers. This means that the higher the purchase price, the better the discount conditions. For example, if you purchase from Lidl for a small amount during the month, you will receive a cash bonus of less than 2% of the purchase amount. However, if the monthly purchase amount reaches 1000 euros, the bonus amount reaches 10%. In other words, for spending 1000 euros at Lidl, you get 100 euros to spend at Lidl in Finland.
If at the beginning Lidl only focused on the price advantage compared to other chains, now with the new loyalty program it wants to defend customers in the long term. Don’t stop giving away free products either.
