Dakota Johnson has revealed the surprising way she maintains her mental health

Obviously sleep is very important for everyone, but it is usually not possible to sleep for that long due to household chores and work commitments. Making eye contact is not only important for brain function, health and mood, but also for energy levels.

The 34-year-old Johnson said: “I don’t function if I sleep less than ten hours. I can easily sleep for 14 hours. I don’t have a regular wake-up time. It depends on what’s going on in my life. If I don’t work and I have a day off on Monday, I sleep as much as I can. Sleep is the number one priority in my life.”

Johnson revealed another trick on how she takes care of herself. “I take a bath at any time of the day. When I think about it in the middle of the day Oh God, what a world this is, then I’m going to take a bath. I find water really grounding.”

She also works out five days a week, including strength training, hot yoga and pilates. For her mental health, she meditates twice a day, Tyla writes. “I practice transcendental meditation. I’ve been doing a lot of breathing exercises lately and they’ve helped with my anxiety.”

Dakota has been open about how important it is to have some routine as she has struggled with mental health issues and depression since she was a teenager. “Yet I’ve learned to think of it as beautiful, because I know the world. I guess I have a lot of hard places, but they don’t come out of me. I won’t make them someone else’s problem.”
