Despite the inconvenience, the Norwegian quartet cleared the field, good performance from Estonia

The battle for first place at Oberhof lasted until the sixth shooting range between Germany and Norway. At that moment, Norwegian Tarjei Bø managed to beat German Philipp Nawrath in a duel and fight to gain a big advantage. In the last round, Johannes Thingnes Bø managed to confidently lead Norway to the finish line as a winner. Their quartet also included Endre Strømsheim and Sturla Holm Lægreid.

At the same time, the failed relay, when Tarjei Bø was not ready to start, did not prevent Norway’s victory. Lægreid waited a while for his compatriot to lower his skis and the race could continue.

Driving on home snow, Germany crossed the finish line in second place, ultimately losing 2.01.9 to the winners. The four Italians took the last step of the podium, finishing the race 2.50.5 behind Norway. The Italians were last on the podium in the men’s relay in 2021 and also in the MK stage in Oberhof.

The Estonian quartet of Rene Zahkna, Kristo Siimer, Raido Ränkel and Mehis Udam fought for a place in the top ten for a long time. In the end, 12th place was achieved with one penalty lap and 16 spare cartridges. In the end Norway lost 6.24.7.
