75 години след като бе изправен пред екзекуторския взвод, бе извършен пореден, четвърти опит, да бъде умъртвен духа му в „стрелбището” на Портал „Култура” – БГ от неговия главен редактор.

Пръв, с височайшо разрешение е прочетен от Георги Марков още през шейсетте години на миналия век, когато се е нагърбил да пише в чест на 25-годишнината от Девети септември трагедията „Комунисти”. Тогава още няма Шесто управление на ДС, а малка служба за популяризиране дейността на МВР сред творците. Тази служба му осигурява и контрактация. Николай Хайтов и драматургът Никола Русев отклоняват „поръчката“ за антифашистката тема, или за строителството на социализма, оправдавайки се с други творчески ангажименти.
До 1989 година на друг не е предоставен секретният архив. Дори на члена на ЦК Атанас Стойков, който подготвяше и издаде тритомника „Последната им дума“.
Вторият, който рови в делото, е писателят Марин Георгиев, получил достъп и контрактация за книга от министър Йордан Соколов с поръчението да напише „Третият разстрел”. Това за контрактацията, както е прието да се казва, съм го чул на женския пазар.
Марин Георгиев дава гласност на полицейските протоколи, такива, каквито са в съответния „служебен жанр”.
Днес разсекретеният архив е достъпен за всеки.
Тони Николов чете Вапцаровите показания, както дявола евангелието. Анализира ги като прозаично-драматургична творба. Последната и най-значителната. Прави разбор, разсъждава, интерпретира, тълкува. Защо пък не. За предсмъртните Вапцарови два стиха не се ли спори вече осемдесет години! Защо пък за прозата да е забранено?
Тони Николов има опит, рутина и постижения в този жанр. Казвам го без ирония. Ценя това, което той направи за издирването и публикуването на тритомника есета на Георги Марков. Поздравих го публично за приноса му да върне „Скитника“ невъзвращенец в българската книжнина като дух, наследство и страстотерпец.
Емигрантските творби на Георги Марков, на Димитър Бочев и на редица други бегълци също са „изстрадани”. Но са творени в уюта на лондонски и мюнхенски квартири.
Последната Вапцарова проза е творена в подземията на Гешевата Държавна сигурност. Тя е диалог, надлъгване с опитни съавтори/следователи. В този диалог Вапцаров е победител. Той не предава никого. Той свидетелства само срещу себе си. За другите повтаря известното на полицията. Тя сама се издава. За онова, което Гешев не знае, устните на банскалията не са отворени ни с нож, ни с жив въглен. В това ще се убеди всеки, който прочете стотината страници от разпита на поета.
Ще мине време. Ще се яви талант, който да постави на голяма сцена последната „драматургична творба“ такава, каквато е написана с кръв. Няма да бъде необходимо да се добавя и измисля. Няма в архивите на инквизицията, нито в рапортите за хилядите разстрели по света, такъв текст. В него има и причестяване от служебен свещеник и разрешение за „последна дума”, приемане на подаръци за близките их му, че съм готов да помагам във всяка ситуация, защото вярвам в правилността на нашата кауза. Той ме поздрави за моята ангажираност и ми каза, че ще имам важна роля в работата на комитета.
След този разговор започнахме да планираме дейностите на комитета и как да подкрепим партията в провинцията. Васил беше много опитен и добре информиран за политическата обстановка, което ми вдъхнови доверие в него като лидер. Работихме заедно с сърдечност и ангажираност, за да подготвим хората за предстоящите предизборни кампании и да укрепим позициите на партията.
С времето станахме добри приятели и сътрудници, които споделяха общи цели и убеждения. Васил беше важна фигура в моя живот и работата му в комитета имаше голямо значение за успехите на партията.
