Mashiur Rahman and Abul Kalam are seeing the light in the cornea of the eye donated by the brave freedom fighter Shivnarayan Das, who designed the first national flag of Bangladesh. They are very happy to have their eyes back.
Shivnarayan Das passed away on April 19 at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). In CEGEPs and universities, more and more students are vaping. It is among those aged 20 to 24 that the number of users of vaping products is increasing most rapidly in Canada. One of the reasons why these young adults vape: to reduce their stress.
In his document entitled Portrait of the use of psychoactive substances among college and university students, 2019-2020, the INSPQ revealed that 17% of people attending a higher education institution in Canada had used vaping products in the previous 30 days. These results are compared to those obtained among 20 to 24 year olds within the framework of the Canadian Tobacco and Nicotine Survey (CTNS) in 2022. The proportion of young adults who vape is also increasing in this age group (+4% between 2020 and 2022), which worries many.

L’ECTN provides some answers regarding the reasons that push young adults to vape. While a quarter of them (24.9%) said they used electronic cigarettes for pleasure, a third (33%) said they used them to reduce stress.

However, it would be rather the opposite: it would bring in the individual a state of lack which causes it. When this person consumes nicotine again through a cigarette, electronic or not, their stress quickly decreases. Whooping cough is a highly contagious bacterial infection whose transmission occurs mainly within the family or in communities through contact with a sick person with a cough. Even though the number of cases of whooping cough has decreased significantly since the introduction of the vaccine, the bacteria continues to circulate. United States – A new study finds that tens of thousands of cases of asthma in children are linked to exposure to stove gas and propane (used as a fuel in liquefied petroleum gas).
