Gallery: On New Year’s Eve, a thousand toasts to the future sounded on the classical radio | Theater

On the last day of the year, the doors of the Embassy of Utopia opened live on Klassikaradio to celebrate the end and the beginning, to celebrate bold thoughts, positive uncertainty and wild imagination.

In the five-hour special end-of-year program “A Thousand Toasts to the Future”, the Estonian people spoke up, got up from the party tables, hit the glass with the blade of a knife, cleared their throats and toasted to thousands of homes, thousands of futures on the radio.

Among others, Merle Karusoo, Reet Linna, Kaido Ole, Jaak Prints, Jan Kaus, EIK, Steven-Hristo Evestu, Kaisa Ling, Margus Saar, Anu Lamp, Margus Mikomägi, Ursel Tilk, Priit Põldma and many others toasted.

In addition to the toasts, the five-hour program was full of music, tin pouring, various conversations and phone calls, which extended the already scattered boundaries of the Embassy of Utopia from the ninth floor of the Radio House to Tartu and Raplama, Hiiu and Saaremaa, Finland, Belgium, Cyprus and Italy.

The program is listenable On the Klassiradio website and the Estonian Radio app.

Utopia Saatkond will reopen its doors on January 28th on the Klassikaradio frequency, but with completely new guests, formats and ideas.
