“Since I am quite self-critical and quite a private person, I didn’t have the courage to embark on the journey of acting,” he says Roberto Città, stating that it is still his secret dream. “Now that I’ve learned to open up on stage and feel comfortable as a musician, it’s somehow logical to take these small steps in the direction of acting as well,” he says.
When thinking about his dream role, Robert immediately has a specific answer: “Oh, I would love to star in Rainer Sarnet’s new film “The Invisible Struggle”. Comedy about kung-fu and such absurd things with retro elements appeals to me suitable.”
In the fall, Robert Linna had an exciting opportunity to prove himself as an actor in the domestic drama series “The Perfect Girlfriend”, when the director of the series, Ergo Kuld, offered him a role.
“Since I really like acting, after Ergo’s speech I felt butterflies in my stomach. But I still took some time to familiarize myself with the script and then it was necessary to schedule the shooting days. In my head, of course , I accepted immediately and when I read the scene it seemed like the right challenge for me,” he recalls.
In the series, Robert Linna plays Eero, a Finn living in Estonia, who appears in the story as a new delight for Britt, one of the main characters. “I mainly only acted with Melissa Mariel Korjus (Britt) and she really surprised me in a very positive way – very professional and focused,” praises the musician his scene partner.
Talking about the past year, the musician says it’s been pretty wild and full of very different projects. “I will definitely try to organize a little better next summer, so that there is a better balance between family, band activities, different projects and why not, even acting,” he says.
The drama series «Perfect Girlfriend» premiered in November at PÖFF and can be seen exclusively by Elisa Huubi.
Loviise Kapper, Melissa Mariel Korjus, Carolin Ligi, Robert Linna, Ott Raidmets, Ivo Reinok etc. will perform in the series. Ergo Kuld is the director and Katariina Libe and Reeli Reinaus wrote.
