Illustrator Pamela Samel published the author’s first book “Röster” | Literature

The Puänt publishing house has published Pamela Samel’s picture book “Röster”, which explains to children the importance of recycling and encourages them to discuss it with their parents.

Inspired by real life, the story tells of a yellow toaster who one day finds himself in a situation he could never have imagined. The images from the book “Röster” were also selected for the Tallinn Illustration Triennial exhibition, which took place in autumn this year.

Pamela Samel is a freelance illustrator who studied textile design at the Estonian Academy of Arts and also holds a degree in art education from Tallinn University. She works daily as a costume designer for film and television productions.

Pamela Samel has contributed to several media publications, including children’s magazines Täheke and Hea Laps. You illustrated, among other things, Tiiu Kitsik’s book “Who is there?” and the work “Toru” by Liis Kiviranna, the latter also winner of the illustrators’ exhibition at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair this year.
