In the leaders’ meeting Bunker Partner won, but Viimsi | continues to be the first Football

In the postponed match of the eighth round of the Estonian indoor football championship, Tallinna FC Bunker Partner beat Viimsi FC at home 6:2 (2:0) on Wednesday evening, who had maintained first place in the table four rounds before the end of the main tournament. The teams are separated by one point.

In the first half, Tallinna FC Bunker Partner won 2:0 with goals from Denis Vnukov in the 12th minute and Marek Naali in the 18th minute.

In the 12th minute of the second half Erik Grigorjev scored a goal in favor of Viimsi FC, but in the next minute Vnukov once again made the difference with two goals: 3:1.

In the 16th minute Naal made a pass from under his own goal from Bunker Partner goalkeeper Mark Boskin, directing the ball into the goal with his head: the score would be 4:1. In the 18th minute Aleksei Titenok sends the ball into the empty goal of FC Viims, who play with the “flying goalkeeper” – the score is 5:1.

As a consolation, Grigorjev scored his second hit of the match as third man, bringing the score to 5:2. However, the final say remained with Bunker Partner, in favor of whom Igor Vassiljev scored 6:2.

In the opening round Viimsi FC had managed to beat Bunker Partner 6:0.

Having won 10 matches (8 league and 2 cup) in a row, Tallinna FC Bunker Partner is a newcomer to the league, but is a team made up of highly experienced players. Three of the players who participated in Wednesday’s match were part of Viimsi FC last season, and five players became Estonian champions in their last season or penultimate year with FC Cosmos.

Viimsi FC had been unbeaten since May last year, last losing to Sillamäe FC NPM Silmet in last season’s semi-finals. Next, there was a win over Tartu Ravens Futsal in the bronze medal match, and this season, before Wednesday, there had been eight wins and one draw in the league, and also one win in the cup competition.

In the eleventh round, this Friday 12 January, Tartu Vald/Ravens Futsal will face Viimsi FC. The next day, three matches are scheduled: Rummu Dynamo – FC Jõgeva Wolves, Narva United FC – Tallinna FC Bunker Partner, Jõhvi FC Phoenix – Sillamäe FC NPM Silmet.

A total of 14 rounds are scheduled for the main tournament, which ends on February 10. Playoff‘, the best six teams will qualify, while the two most successful will directly advance to the semi-finals.
