Jaanus Kriisk: morning exercise, the prerequisite for a successful day!

One of the most important moments is the first hour and a half after waking up. Because when our eyes open, a large part of our body is still sleeping peacefully.

Here is a little recommendation-reflection for the morning. After waking up you could drink a good glass of warm water. In fact, a separate story should be written about this glass of warm water, but in short it helps to awaken the whole body from the inside: it puts the stomach in order, rebalances the lymphatic system, also helps to lose weight, makes the skin luminous, improves health and also helps the functioning of the brain.

We also know that insufficient water intake causes cognitive and neurological dysfunction. And it is precisely hot water that we need to drink, because cold water can instead inhibit these actions, because the body has to start heating this cold drink, but by doing so we waste time and energy.

And then, after a brief awakening of a few tens of minutes, our body awaits an effective morning exercise to prepare for a day full of actions and events. If it is not very cold outside, having an open window nearby would also be advisable.

Morning exercise should not be a boring task, but the most important part of ensuring a positive mood throughout the day.

Let’s start with breathing and light bending and leaning exercises so that the body that is stiff at night feels and believes it can relax. We rub between our fingers and rub our face and scalp, gently tapping all over the body as far as our hands reach. Then we go deeper and deeper with curves and inclinations. We also do these exercises on the stomach and back.
