Kaidy Kaasiku also won the championship in free technique at the Estonian cross-country skiing championships, which continued in Otepää, but on Sunday Martin Himma won among the men instead.

The fastest in the women’s 10 km free technique with individual start was Kaidy Kaasiku, who crossed the finish line with a time of 25.53.4. Second to her was her twin sister Keidy, who lost 11.5 seconds to the winner. Also in the top three was Teesi Tuul, who was a minute and a second behind the winner.

If on Saturday Kaarel Kasper Kõrge won the Estonian championship in the men’s classic distance, on Sunday it was Martin Himma’s turn to shine, who completed the distance in free technique with a time of 22:26.8.

Kõrge and Himma switched places from Saturday, but on Sunday Kõrge was only 1.9 seconds slower than Himma. Third place went to Raido Ränkel, who lost to Himma by 11.1 seconds.

Rauno Tiimann won among the men in the hobby class, ahead of Karel Tammjärve and Rimo Timm. Among the enthusiasts, Karolina Pugal was the fastest, followed by Karina Toming and Katrin Kahu.
