Púr Múdd member Oliver Rõõmus learned to play the drums due to bullying at school: I managed to survive all the tantrums

Rjomus started playing drums at the age of 9-10, at the same time as starting his studies, which was anything but fun.

“I attended a total of eight schools in 12 years,” the musician revealed a surprising fact from his life. “The school period and the issue of school bullying were very hard. My days were like this: I went to school in the morning and after school I went home to play the drums. I had a drum-set to (drum set – ed.) available at home. I played from two to seven.” At that time, Rõõmus was inspired by rock music. “I managed to survive all the tantrums and it finally gave me the ability to play the drums: I practiced all the time.”

According to Rõõmus, he distinguished himself from others mainly by his interests. “I was always separated, alone. When a group of kids went 7-8. In class somewhere to drink alcohol or smoke, then I would go away or somewhere else,” he described. “I chose another path – it was a painful path for me at the time, but in retrospect it was the right one.”
