Mari Kalkun has already presented her summer album in 9 countries around the world: Canada, Great Britain, Belgium, Norway, Portugal, Hungary, North Macedonia, South Korea and Estonia. But now the home crowd in Tallinn has a great opportunity to do so. The album received airplay on major radio stations around the world and, among other things, received a five-star review from the prestigious Financial Times and was selected at number one on the Transglobal World Music Chart. The album was also selected among the best albums of the beloved publication Songlines and in the TOP 10 of the European World Music Chart.
In recent years Duo Ruut has toured in almost 20 countries in Europe and around the world at prestigious festivals and concert halls. Prestigious publications such as KEXP, Le Monde, BBC, FIP Radio, RFI and others cover their activities with enviable speed. Duo Ruut finds a time in their busy schedule to treat their home audience to a memorable concert in their lovely hometown of Tallinn. A section of Duo Ruudu’s work will be heard and perhaps some new pieces.
