Marju Lukk, a resident of the village of Nigula, found a large net with a hat diameter of 34 centimeters.
Lukk was going to Rist with his sister Mari Proman when he noticed two smaller mushrooms along the road to Palivere. The nurses stopped the car. “A few steps further I found a big one,” Lukk said. The mushroom was more than half the size of the usual one, generally the diameter of the cap of a large mushroom is 10-15 centimeters.
The discovery earned much praise in the Estonian mushroom Facebook group. By now the screen has been fried and embedded in the skin. In the same area, however, the nuns found so many mushrooms that the entire trunk of a car was full of them. “There were so many mushrooms that we followed them several times in the car, a total of 350 to 450 mushrooms,” Lukk said.
Some were distributed, some frozen, some sold. “We also went by train from Tallinn,” Lukk said. The large porcini mushroom is a good edible mushroom that does not require cooking and when fried it tastes like a cutlet.
