Petter Northugi has harshly criticized the managers of the Swedish national team. “It’s like they drank for three days straight”

The Norwegian’s comment was aimed at the managers of the Swedish national team, William Poromaa and Calle Halfvarsson.

Poromaa maintains fourth place on the tour after three stages, losing one minute and four seconds to leader Harald Östberg Amundsen. However, Halfvarsson’s start to the tour proved to be an even bigger failure, and he sits in 29th place out of 79 riders. The Swede lost almost three minutes against the league leaders.

“It looks like they’ve been drinking for three days straight,” Northug commented to Norway’s TV2 after the second stop of the tour. “I told them to wake up.”

The Tour de Ski continues on Wednesday with the sprint stage in Davos, Switzerland. Alvar Johannes Alev and Martin Himma, in 42nd and 57th place respectively, will continue the grand tour from Estonia.
