“What makes the series special is that it was made with the smallest possible budget and team. Since we had no financial sponsors, we had to pay for everything out of our own pocket. The goal was partially achieved, as the series was completed for less than a thousand euros. The whole process was a big learning curve since I was the writer, director, producer, editor and also the main actor of this series. My good friend Aleksander Andresson played the role of the cameraman and the light. Perhaps we had an exceptionally small team and budget to produce the series. The series was shot in two countries in four days and the second main actor had a fever during filming”, explains Karl-Gustav Kurn .

Kurn began studying production in Tampere, Finland, this fall and dreams of bigger drama projects. He has already created film projects and has been active on social media for seven years, mainly on Instagram and Tiktok. His major social media projects of note this year include cooperation with NATO, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.

The first season of Nothing Is Forever was massively viewed on YouTube in 2019, with three episodes released with 141,000, 104,000 and 118,000 views and nearly 99% of the feedback was positive. Karl-Gustav was only 17 years old at the time and, according to him, this zero-budget series was a great start for his age and also a good basis for the second season.

The second season also now has three episodes, which can be seen HERE. According to Karl-Gustav, you have to pay to watch the second season, because making the series was an expensive and time-consuming project for him, and he wants to use this money to make even more fantastic projects in the future. “I certainly don’t want to extort money from viewers, but unfortunately money is needed to produce interesting things, so I’m really grateful to all the supporters who help such a small youth series to get off the ground and at the same time prepare for future projects. .” Karl-Gustav also says that he is particularly grateful to Photopoint, who lent them the equipment, and also to Food on Foot, who kept the actors’ bellies full during filming.

“The series focuses on living and enjoying life, and everyone can find inspiration there. The series has no shortage of drama, comedy or suspense. I hope with this to also inspire other young directors who think that making something like this is impossible. Nothing it’s impossible! You always have to dream big!” says Karl-Gustav.
