According to psychiatrist Dr. Karl Pärna of Confido, attention deficit disorder is a syndrome characterized by three main symptoms: inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. “ATH is essentially a neurodevelopmental feature of the brain. “From the development of the nervous system in fetal life, changes occur in the connections between certain nerve cells, the symptoms of which appear in early childhood,” says Dr. Pärn.
