Radio morning: real estate and high culture hamburger

A restaurateur, the director of a real estate office and the general director of the National Opera speak on the Thursday morning program of radio Äripää.

The well-known and recognized burger shop VLND Burger received several awards last year, opened a new permanent location in its hometown of Viljandi and participated in a trade fair abroad for the first time, but it also had some jokes shutdown – for example, it was decided to close the kitchen and sales point of the Põhjala factory in Tallinn, which did not start functioning again as expected. Whether it was a good or bad year overall and how the restaurant industry is doing today, Kris Süld, founder and owner of VLND Burger, talks about it.

The price per square meter of apartments in Tallinn rose to a record high in December, but it would be premature to predict a new increase from this level, says Martin Vahter, managing director of 1Partner Kinnisvara. We ask him why and what apartment prices promise to do this year.

The Estonian National Opera will give its first performance of the year on Thursday, the VAT increase has not led to an increase in the price of tickets in this hall. We establish a telephone connection with Ott Maaten, the director general of Estonia, from whom we learn how much price sensitivity high-culture consumers have shown during the economic downturn.

11.00-12.00 “Under the magnifying glass”. In the show, journalists investigating Äripää summarize the past year. Journalists share which topics and stories were most important to them during the year and how the stories came about. Viivika Rõuk presents the show, Kristel Härma, Koit Brinkmann, Pille Ivask, Eliisa Matsalu and Marge Ugezene are in the studio.

12.00-13.00 “Intelligent digital business”. The show will talk about Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) guidance. In this regard, we are studying the new ERP order guide, prepared by the Estonian Association for Information Technology and Telecommunications in October last year. On the show, we hear from IT professionals who this guide is for and what the main topics are. We also share tips on how to use this guide and what you should definitely consider.

The guests on the show are Julia Ležeiko, IT manager at Thermory, and Iveri Marukashvili, project manager of Fujitsu’s enterprise software team. The show is hosted by Mare Timian, responsible for the thematic website Äripää, öppäpidaja.ee.

1.00pm-2.00pm “Lesson”. The first show of the year of the series briefly reviews the past training year and discusses what 2024 will bring. We will clarify how the economic situation affected the organization of training courses, how programs and forms of training change for adapt to changing circumstances and meet employee needs, how technology supports the trainer and learner and how to stimulate the employee’s self -management and taking responsibility.

Visiting are Kadi Piikov, head of employee experience at Eesti Energia, Marja Pille, head of the Human Resources department of the Social Insurance Council, and Helina Loor, board member of the Association of Estonian Training and Consulting Companies and founder of Õpidisain. The presenter is Katre Savi.

15:00-16:00 “Informative lesson”. The themes of the exhibition concern public procurement. These are the dispute of procurement documentation and the question of costs of the dispute, the termination of the procurement contract due to loss of credibility and also whether public procurement documents should be in Estonian.

Tuulikki Laesson, head of the law firm Laesson and Partners, explains the specifics of current legislation and case law. The program is hosted by Külli Seppa, editor-in-chief of the Äripäiv information heritage project.
