Slava Ukraini’s informant also spoke to the Estonian Prosecutor’s Office Estonia

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine summoned Oleksandr Chernov to Kiev on Friday, who revealed possible violations in the humanitarian organization Slava Ukrain. The Estonian prosecutor’s office also spoke to the Ukrainian informant.

Oleksandr Chernov said that he could not talk more about the investigation at the Prosecutor General’s Office, but that the topic was the “Everything for Victory” fund, which was a cooperation partner of the Estonian support fund “Slava Ukraini” in Ukraine .

Chernov himself was accused of illegal trafficking of ammunition or weapons into Ukraine, but there was no mention of this on Friday.

“I was summoned about the fund and a survey was conducted, I was asked what information I knew,” he said. “Nothing was asked about the weapon. It was all about funds.”

Chernov said Estonian investigative bodies also contacted him twice. “I received a call once in May and then in October or early November. Definitely a couple of months ago,” Chernov said, but said he could not comment on what he spoke about with Estonian investigators .

According to the Estonian Prosecutor’s Office, they communicated with Chernov through the Ukrainian investigative bodies, before the Central Criminal Police contacted Chernov.

“Since we created a joint investigative group with Ukraine, the purpose of which is to find out whether the donations collected by Slava Ukrain were used for their intended purpose in Ukraine, we are in constant contact with our Ukrainian cooperation partners regarding The Chernov issue,” said prosecutor Triinu Olev.

The prosecutor’s office is currently working on the evidence, a significant part of which comes from Ukraine. “Ukraine recently transmitted to Estonia a very significant amount of important information. This evidentiary information is being processed and accordingly we can decide in the further procedure what our next steps will be,” Olev said.

According to Olev, the prosecutor’s office did not communicate with Johanna-Maria Lehtme, former leader of Slava Ukrain.
