LSU Head Coach Kim Mulkey Praises Angel Reese for Going Pro

LSU head coach Kim Mulkey took to Instagram to share her support and admiration for forward Angel Reese after Reese announced her decision to go pro. In an interview with Vogue.com, Reese expressed her excitement for the next chapter of her basketball career and her aspiration to become one of the greatest players in the history of the sport.
“I’ve done everything I wanted to in college,” Reese told Vogue. “I’ve won a national championship, I’ve gotten [Southeastern Conference] Player of the Year [in the 2023-24 season], I’ve been an All-American. My ultimate goal is to be a pro — and to be one of the greatest basketball players to play, ever. I feel like I’m ready.”

Days before, he had suffered a concussion in at least two of his three worst games, the former world champion told the French sports newspaper “L’Équipe”. “I had lost weight because I was dehydrated. “I wasn’t fit, but I didn’t want to miss the World Cup quarter-finals because I was a little tired,” the former French international recalls before the game against Germany at the 2014 World Cup.
Varane now assumes that there was a connection to the concussions he suffered.
