TalTech, who won the leaders’ meeting, secured the lead and victories for Tartu and Rae

TalTech, the only undefeated leader in the rankings, achieved their tenth victory in the clash of leaders when, with the help of the home crowd, they won 3:0 (25:11, 25:20, 25:15) over ‘nearest tracker Video recorder in Kaunas. While the Lithuanians were ahead in the block with four points (7-3), Tartu’s representation was better in terms of service aces by five points (8-3). There were 12 service errors for the winners and five for the losers.

Annabel Huik, who has become an overcourt player, received 25 lifts, of which 15 attacks (60%) resulted in points. Ingris Suvi assisted with 13 points and Salme Adeele Hollas with 10 points. No one reached double-digit scoring among the underdogs who performed evenly. University of Tartu/Bigbank, which continues in sixth place, has collected 17 points, Aušrine is ninth with eight points.

Rae Sports School/VIASTON, which earned its second consecutive victory after four losses, was better than the RSU/MSG team with a score of 3:1 (25:22, 21:25, 25:21, 25:21 ) away. Silvia Pertens, who rode the bandwagon, scored at least 20 points for the fourth time this Baltic League season, contributing 21 points to the victory. Liis Kiviloo added 13 points to the success of the Estonian team, Merili Kõrvel also 13 points and Triinu Lamp 10 points.

While the teams were essentially equal in receiving serves (RSU/MSG 40% and Rae 39%), attacks were resolved by winners at 41% and losers at 33%. 13 points were scored for the Latvian team and 9 for the guests. Rae Spordikool/VIASTON, who collected 18 points, continues in fifth place and RSU/MSG, who earned 11 points, is in the eighth row in the standings.

The Audentes SG/Youth team could not surprise on the road, losing 0:3 (23:25, 13:25, 20:25) against Riga Volleyball School/LU. Among the losers, only Karlotta Kattai scored in double figures, scoring 12 points.

The Estonian team was significantly inferior to the Latvians in attack (31%-43%) and in service aces (2-12). The Riga team sinned 13 times on serve and the Audentes youth team nine times. The Audentes SG/Youth team continues to hold seventh place with 11 points, Riga Volleyball School/LU is in third place with 21 points.

On Sunday at 11am, the Audentes SG/Youth team will face the RSU/MSG women’s team away, and the Rae Sports School/VIASTON will also face the Riga Volleyball School/LU on a foreign court at 4pm. Tartu women’s team will face Kaunas VDU at 13:00 and Aušrine at 14:00 TalTech.
