Tammeka, who won a historic bronze medal last year, continues with two coaches – Soccernet.ee

The Tartu Tammeka women’s team, which won a medal in the Women’s Championship for the first time last season, today announced who will coach it in the future. If previously the work was done by just one person, in future the coaching duo, including Kaivo Sang and Hannes Värs, will share the instructions.

It is known that Tammeka was left without a coach at the end of the season, as previous driver Sirje Kapper decided to leave his job after five years. He will be replaced by Kaivo Sang, who spent the last few years as assistant coach of Tammeka’s women’s team, and Hannes Värs, who coached Tammeka’s U15 and U16 age groups.

“I can’t wait to face the new challenge!” Sang said in an interview with the home club. “The last two years on the women’s team have taught me a lot and I feel like I’m ready for a new role. We want to continue where we left off last season and take the next step together with the team.”

The 24-year-old Värs seconded his colleague, who is looking forward to taking on the new role: “When I first heard about the role of co-coach, it was a bit surprising for me. At the same time, it immediately made me want to think and enlighten. The idea of working with Kaivo at the helm of the Tammeka women’s team seems to me on the one hand to be a great challenge, but on the other hand there will be the opportunity to make a great contribution to this beautiful team I have followed the progress of previous years with interest and I think we can continue on the same path next year and why not take another step forward.”
