Rise of the Ronin is a third-person action game with some role-playing aspects, particularly enjoyable thanks to its strong plot and fast, action-packed gameplay. The game is extremely responsive and is therefore very fun to play. Players can optionally use cooperative mode to complete missions together with others, but the game can be played alone. It’s a shame that the game is a bit dated graphically; this is actually reflected in all aspects of the graphics. This makes it easier to choose the Framerate mode in the graphics settings, because it provides by far the best gaming experience, especially since you can’t lose much in terms of graphics quality. Rise of the Ronin may not be a real hit, partly due to the delayed presentation, but it’s still surprisingly fun and quite worthwhile.
These are good times for lovers of Japan, especially if that love is accompanied by an interest in history.
