Scientists have managed to produce flexible perovskite solar cells that perform much better than previous versions. These cells can take unique shapes that are not feasible with traditional solar panels.

The solar cells were developed by researchers at the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO). Unlike traditional solar panels, these can be wrapped around a coil. In the past, researchers have already succeeded in producing such cells, but they had an efficiency, the amount of sunlight that can be converted into usable energyfrom only one to two percent.

Penta evaluates the sale of Fortuna – News
The sale could value Fortuna at up to two billion euros (over 50 billion Czech crowns), said a source close to the company, who wished to remain anonymous. Fortuna operates in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia and Romania. But the process is still at an early stage and Penta is not expected to proceed with the auction until late summer, the source said.
“It underlines Penta’s commitment to carefully evaluate alternative options for the future development of the business and ensure sustainable growth and long-term value creation,” according to Reuters company spokesperson. Representatives for JPMorgan declined to comment, while Fortuna did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Potential bidders for Fortuna are expected to include European gambling operators and private equity firms active in the betting sector, one of the sources said. This year Fortuna’s gross operating profit (EBITDA) will amount to around 200 million euros (around five billion Czech crowns), the source added. Penta declined to comment on the details.
