The Finns scratched their skin on the second day of the Tour de Ski, the best Estonian finished fifth out of ten

In the men’s race, Perttu Hüvärinen won the first individual MK stage of his career, ahead of Norwegians Erik Valnes (+16.2) and Harald Östberg Amundsen (+17.2).

Followed by the Swedes Jens Burman (+27.4) and William Poromaa (+40.4), sixth is the Swiss Beda Klee (+42.9).

The best Estonian was Alvar Johannes Alev 47th (+1.49.3). Martin Himma finished 59th (+2.12.0) and Kaarel Kasper Kõrge 74th (+2.47.1).

Valnes continues to be the leader of the general classification, whose advantage over Amundsen is four seconds. The third is the American Ben Ogden (+0.28) and the fourth is Hüvärinen (+0.38).

The women’s classic was won by the Finnish Kerttu Niskanen, who preceded the German Victoria Carl (+6.7) and the American Jessie Diggins (+10.7).

The 20km freestyle races will take place on Monday in Dobbiaco, Italy.
