The Haapsalu Aqueduct disinfects Taebla’s tap water

Until the end of next week, the Haapsalu water company will disinfect the water pipes of more than a dozen apartment buildings in Taebla and Nigula, so that tap water is drinkable again.

Both water treatment plants have UV filters installed to kill bacteria. “We don’t focus on a specific bacterium,” Kaido Erik, member of the board of directors of Haapsalu Veevärg, told Lääne Elu. “It is important to clean the path from this, the second or the third bacterium.”
