The hobby school divides the children into three houses

At the end of December the municipal administration of Viljandi recognized the offers of three companies as suitable in the public tender to make the hobby school energy efficient and decided to sign a contract with the private company Silindia Ehitus.

Kalvi Märtin, deputy mayor of Viljandi, told Sakala in November that the work on the hobby school mainly serves two purposes: improving the building’s energy efficiency and accessibility. Energy efficiency includes the replacement of windows and technical systems and the renewal of the heating and ventilation system, as well as water and sewage pipes. Accessibility is improved by a small extension which will act as a lift shaft. “There will also be a normal and disabled toilet in the extension. There will also be a washing facility in the building, which was not there until now,” explains Märtin.
