Inger Hermia’s sister, Saara Margaret Kaju, won 2nd place with her invention in the same age group in the same competition.
“The problem I wanted to solve was that when a skater moves, it is not visible, unlike a cyclist who has lights on the bicycle,” Saara Margaret introduced her invention. “I invented lights for roller skating. There is a front light and a rear light, and there are also LED lights. I also added a bell to the handguard, where when you press it with your middle finger, the bell starts to ring ring. It’s basically like a bicycle bell. I also upgraded the helmet, it will also have reflectors. If some manufacturer notices my invention, it might actually be sold in stores one day.
