The snow has brought a boom and shortage of ATVs to Estonia. The company sold one million worth of equipment in one month

According to Hanno Velt, ATV sales in general have not decreased compared to last year. “When people started talking about the car tax in the summer, it affected the purchase of hobby equipment, but ATVs are mainly commercial vehicles and their sales are at the same level as last year. This year, according to official statistics, in 11 months 1,184 new ATVs were registered in Estonia, which is 11% less than in the same period last year, but in reality many more were sold. People simply do not register ATVs in anticipation of the car tax, because it is not necessary to shovel snow in the garden and drive in the fields. This year we have already sold more than 700 ATVs,” Velt said.

“In mid-November, however, a real boom occurred: in one month, Iron Baltic ATVs and snowploughs produced in Estonia were purchased for one million euros. If thick snow fell immediately, in the following four days they were losing half a million pieces of equipment. The entire warehouse was purchased practically empty, and there was even a small supply shortage. There is still a shortage of some models and colors, but it will be resolved within a month,” Velt said.
